- Quality grapples have jaws that are made of Hardox
steel, and have wear plates.
- Every joint in a Valby grapple has a grease
fitting and a bronze bushing.
- The Valby grapples have powerful cylinders with heavy
pistons.
- Twin connection rods provide good balance and less stress.
- A belly plate protects the
cylinder from below.
- The Valby grapples are of modern bypass grapple design that
support the log from underneath and both sides.
- The jaws close to a tight minimum opening.
- The SG52HD has a sturdy mounting
plate. We recommend the R45 rotator, but the grapple can also be used with the
R6 or R30 rotators.

which enables controlled release of the load.
- The Grapple has a cylinder piston
that is 1.96" in diameter.
