SG36-HD Grapple

This grapple has a two prong jaw on one side, and a single
jaw on the other. The jaws and the wear parts are made out of Hardox steel.
Besides lifting stones, this
grapple can also be used for the handling of logs. The
form of the jaws is such that the grab also penetrates into piles
of brush or logging slash. The wear plates and the sturdy jaws enable the
grapple also be used in the handling of building debris. The
design of the grapple makes it an all-around utility grapple.

The grapple opens to 36".
To hold anything securely in the grapple, it must close at least 10".
- Quality grapples have jaws that are made of Hardox steel, and
have wear plates.
- Every joint in a Valby grapple has a grease fitting and a
bronze bushing.
- The Valby grapples have powerful cylinders with heavy
pistons.
- Twin connection rods provide good balance and less stress.
- A belly plate protects the cylinder from below.
- The Valby grapples are of modern bypass grapple design that
support the log from underneath and both sides.
- The jaws close to a tight minimum opening.
- The SG36HD has a sturdy mounting plate. We recommend
the R 30 rotator.
