How to add grapples to backhoes, excavators, boom trucks and grapple trucks.

Hangers

It is necessary to install a hanger between the rotator and the lifting boom.  The hanger enables the grapple to swing in two directions which reduces stress.

A half hanger is available for the R45 and R30 rotators.  The half hanger has the part that connects to the rotator, including the pin.  Click here for more information on half hangers.

A hanger enables the grapple to swing two ways.  Below is an example of a hanger.  The top end of the hanger is fastened to the loader's boom, and the bottom to the rotator.
